Nora's Birthday and Baptism

This post is WAY, WAY overdue!! Nora's birthday and baptism were clear back in September! This school year has been insanely busy, I mean REALLY busy, and finding time to dedicate to this blog has just not been a reality for me. But, I had to post about this very special event that happened in our family, late or not.

This beautiful, cute, spunky girl brings so much light into our lives! She just couldn't wait to turn EIGHT!! Nora has such an excitement and a love for life! She finds joy in simple things. She is motivated to learn and eager to teach. She often has to be the one to lead out and be the "boss." She also makes things fun and can add laughter to any situation. She loves to be super girly, but also enjoys playing hard, getting dirty and being rough. She has so much compassion and caring for others. We love her sweet, stubborn, passionate, kind, adventurous spirit!

Nora wanted a woodland themed birthday party this year. I made her a tree stump fondant cake with a cute fondant fox topper and moss and toadstool cupcakes.

Friend party!!

Happy Birthday Nora Lora Girl!!!

Nora was counting down the days until her baptism for months. She couldn't wait to make this commitment and covenant with the Lord. It was such a special and beautiful day! Nora's love and knowledge of her Heavenly Father and Savior are so strong. She knows they love her and she is so wonderful at spreading and sharing that love with others.

Families are Forever!

Nora and Taysen.

I LOVE my Nora girl!!

So proud of this beautiful angel and so grateful she is part of our lives and that she is the wonderful and amazing girl that she is!

Saba and Savta's Visit

Only two days after Peerli and Brylan left we had the wonderful opportunity of having more visitors. My Dad, Rafe, and his wife, Carol, spent a few days with us. We had such a great time with them. Here are some of the highlights from their visit here.

We had some fun on the farm and of course treated everyone to some Shumway Farms Ice Cream!!
Here is my Dad enjoying a delicious ice cream cone!

Jumping on the tramp with Saba.

Playing with Savta. Carol is so great with the kids!

We all went to see Juanito Bandito in Garden City, UT at the Pickleville Playhouse by Bear Lake. This show is hilarious!! We all had such a great time. They do an amazing job at this theater.

Anthon in a cameo with Juanito Bandito himself and Jacques Javert, who gives crime a scare, boo! These guys were so funny! T.J. Davis, who plays Juanito, has written, directed and stared in these Juanito Bandito plays for years. They do a new one every season. We went last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to make this a yearly tradition. Seriously, nonstop laughter!! :)

All the kids with the rest of the awesome cast!!

Oh my goodness, these pictures make me laugh. These two sure love to ham it up themselves.

Anthon's eyes in this one!! Hahaha!!!

We enjoyed being outdoors and taking a nice walk around Cottonwood Lake in Star Valley during one of the days my Dad and Carol were with us. It was so pretty and there were a TON of butterflies, especially right by the water. The kids named this one Daisy.

Ah, I love my Dad!

Priceless!

Beautiful!

We had such a great time with my Dad and Carol! Missing them a ton already. Their visit was way too short :(. Can't wait to spend time with them again. Thanks for a wonderful time Saba and Savta!! We love you SOOO much!!!
